Finishing Up a UFO

I've been reknitting Mac's socks without great enthusiasm. Smaller needles tend to make my eyes tired. I looked in my sock yarn stash and found a bag with half of a pink sock that I started two years ago, my only single. It was knit from the toe up and I had to find the pattern again.

Turned out to be the yarn over cable from Sensational Socks. I finished it and started on the next. It took three tries to get the short row toe knit properly. Much swearing while I frogged the toe three times.

I knit on until I came to the short row heel. It didn't quite match the pattern, but I figured it out and managed to match the first.

The yarn is pink and must have been for my sister. Bernat Sox out of acrylic and nylon so she ccould throw them into a laundramat washer and dryer. I think they came out just fine. Now I can get back to wool socks. I'll be very happy to knit them top down.
