Twice Knit Socks

I knit a pair of socks for Mac and finished them on New Years Eve while he was back in the hospital. He proudly wore them and proclaimed them magic socks. When he got home and wore them again, we realized that they were too large especially around the ankles. Frogging time tonight. So now they look like this. Ready for a nice soak.

Back in early November I bought a lovely skein of yarn called Freedom Spirit by Twilleys of Stamford from Yarnworks in Gainesville. I started a scarf, but stopped for my Christmas stash knitting. I had been using the Multidirectional Diagonal Scarf pattern from Ravelry and liked it so much, that I knit an all white one. It took more than one skein so last week I went back to the store and picked up another and finished it in a couple of hours. Love the yarn. Might send it to my niece. She sent me a nice thank-you note for the Christmas gift.

I'm almost finished with a pair of socks made with Cherry Tree Hill Supersock in Peacock. The pattern is a beaded rib from Sensational Knitted Socks. I'm headed to a four day antique show this weekend and figure they will be finished and worn before I get back home. Supposed to be our coldest weather in Florida for quite a few years. I'll be in our little converted school bus with my heater, knitting and a book on tape or a downloaded book for my MP3 player.
